QUEBEC GOVERNMENT GRANTS
FOR YOUR HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS
To support and stimulate Quebec’s energy-efficient construction and renovation sectors, measures have recently been permanently added to the Chauffez vert and Rénoclimat programs, in addition to certain exceptional temporary bonuses.
Since adding or replacing a heat pump, air conditioner or heating system usually brings you significant energy savings, the provincial government offers a variety of subsidies when you make eco-friendly purchases!
To obtain these grants, certain conditions must be respected, it is very important to be well informed and to trust professionals. At Signature Home Heat & Air, our representatives are extremely well trained in the field and will be able to give you the right information for your possible eligibility to the Rénoclimat and Chauffez vert programs.
Here are the main Quebec government assistance programs:

The Rénoclimat Provincial Grant is available when you choose an ENERGY STAR qualified heat pump *, whether it’s a replacement or a brand new installation. Note that a blower door test (or airtightness test) is required to determine your eligibility.

NEW: Temporary Measures for the Rénoclimat Program – Valid from May 11 to December 31, 2020
- All home energy assessment visits are offered free of charge.
- A bonus of $1,000 in financial assistance will be granted to participants who have received or requested their post-work evaluation by December 31, 2020.
- To obtain this bonus, the project must be eligible for a minimum of $350 in financial assistance through energy improvements made, other than the installation of a heat pump.
- A bonus of $1,000 in financial assistance will be granted for the installation of a recognized low-temperature heat pump, a geothermal system or a geothermal heat pump.

- The models eligible for this measure are the ENERGY STAR® models from the following list.
- This bonus is also offered to participants of the Chauffez Vert and Novoclimat programs. An owner who participates in more than one program will only receive this bonus once per household (and not per number of devices installed).
- This bonus is in addition to the amount of $650 normally offered for ENERGY STAR® qualified heat pumps.

Please note that it is mandatory to register for this program before getting any work done, otherwise you will not be eligible. You can check your eligibility with TEQ.
Take advantage of the Chauffez vert program
The Government Chauffez Vert program encourages the replacement of oil or propane heating systems or water heaters with a less polluting (usually electric) system *. Depending on the case, the rebate can reach up to $1,275 for a heating system and $250 for a water heater (for a single-family home).

NEW: Temporary Measures – Valid from May 11 to December 31, 2020
- A bonus of $1,000 in financial assistance will be granted to participants who submit a request for financial assistance for the replacement of their fossil fuel heating system with an electrical system by December 31, 2020.
- A bonus of $1,000 in financial assistance will be granted for the installation of a recognized low-temperature heat pump.

- This bonus is in addition to the amount of $350 now offered for ENERGY STAR® qualified heat
- This bonus is also offered to participants of the Chauffez Vert and Novoclimat programs. An owner who participates in more than one program will only receive this bonus once per household (and not per number of devices installed).

NEW: Permanent Measures for the Chauffez Vert Program – Valid for work that have started as of May 11, 2020
- Simplified participation procedure:

- Registration for the program is done after the work.
- The owner must ensure that his project meets the requirements of the program, collect the required supporting documents, then claim financial assistance using the online form, after having completed the work.

- Additional $350 for the installation or replacement of an ENERGY STAR® qualified heat pump, both for existing homes and for new constructions.
